Own the expansion strategy

The people here make the work. We hire operators who have run the difficult version of market entry and want to keep doing it — across two regions, for companies building things that haven't been built before.

What you get here

Real ownership

You run client engagements and carry the outcome, from first brief to delivery.

Two regions, one team

Amsterdam and Dubai work as a single unit, so your week can span European and Gulf markets.

Work that keeps changing

Project-based engagements mean new sectors, new markets and new problems — instead of the same account year after year.

How we work at Caven Strategy

Outcome over output

We don't measure success by the number of slides in a deck, but by the physical presence our clients achieve on the ground.

High-autonomy, high-accountability

You have the freedom to navigate complex problems — but you are entirely responsible for steering the ship.

Comfort in the grey zone

Our clients pioneer deep-tech in unregulated or newly regulated spaces. If you need a rigid playbook to function, you won't enjoy it here.

Current openings

You will lead market-entry engagements end-to-end, helping pioneering deep-tech companies land and grow across the Gulf. This role suits a veteran operator who has done this difficult work before and wants to fully own it.

What you'll do

  • Run market-entry and expansion projects from first brief to delivery
  • Advise founders and executives on strategy, regulation and route to market
  • Build and manage relationships with regulators, distributors and partners across the GCC
  • Shape the soft-landing and setup work that gets clients operational

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years in management consulting, corporate expansion, or an operational role in a scaling deep-tech company
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in business, international relations, engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong track record in market entry, expansion, or strategy consulting
  • Real familiarity with the Gulf market and how business gets done there
  • Comfort with regulated or technical sectors; deep-tech experience a plus
  • Someone who works independently and carries client trust

You will build our pipeline across Europe, identifying the deep-tech companies and venture funds who need what we do and initiating the high-level conversations that turn into active engagements.

What you'll do

  • Identify and reach deep-tech founders, scale-ups and investors planning to expand
  • Open and run early conversations through to a scoped engagement
  • Represent the firm at the events and in the networks where our clients gather
  • Work with the senior team to shape proposals and hand over won work cleanly

What we're looking for

  • 3–5 years in business development, B2B sales, or strategic partnerships — ideally boutique consulting, SaaS, or professional services
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • An intuitive feel for how founders, executives and VCs think, buy and scope engagements
  • Confidence opening doors and building a pipeline from the ground up
  • Interest in deep-tech and international expansion

Our interview process

We respect your time. We don't believe in 9-round interview gauntlets.

  1. 20-minute intro call

A casual chat to align on background and role fit.

  2. The practical case

A short, real-world scenario to see how you think through a market-entry problem.

  3. The interview

A deep-dive interview with the team leaders in Amsterdam or Dubai.

  4. The decision

We don't drag out decisions. When the fit is right, we move straight to an offer.
